The Australian National Imams Council, the country’s largest Islamic body, condemned the “horrific” shooting on Sunday that claimed 10 lives at Bondi Beach in Sydney.

In a statement, the council said: “Our hearts, thoughts, and prayers are with the victims and their families, and with everyone who witnessed or was affected by this deeply shocking attack.”
It added: “This is a moment for all Australians, including the Australian Muslim community, to stand together in unity, compassion, and solidarity.”
