The company said in a statement published on the Qatar Stock Exchange on Sunday that no crew members were injured and that the incident caused no environmental impact.
Nakilat said the vessel is in a safe condition and remains capable of controlling its operations, while an assessment is underway to determine the effects of the incident.
The company added that it continues to coordinate directly with the vessel and its crew, as well as with relevant maritime security authorities in the region, to ensure the safety of the crew and closely monitor developments.
The attack comes amid disruptions to maritime traffic in the Arabian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz since the outbreak of the Iran war on February 28, with several oil and gas tankers and cargo vessels reportedly coming under attack.
