Association President Riyadh Abu Ghazal said the festival will include 45 pomegranate farmers, alongside participants representing home-based food businesses, handicrafts and rural products. He noted that visitors will be offered a wide variety of traditional and heritage dishes reflecting the region’s culinary heritage, particularly makmoura, Ubaidat kebab, Shami kebab, pastries, onion muraddad and other popular local foods.
Abu Ghazal added that the association places great importance on the festival as a platform for marketing farmers’ products and those made by women working in productive enterprises. It also provides them with an opportunity to showcase their goods and reach the widest possible segment of the public, helping support their businesses and improve their economic returns.
He invited the public to visit the festival and shop for its products, noting that it will feature 16 types of natural pomegranate-based products. These include pomegranate molasses, vinegar, juice and jam, as well as pomegranate soap, pomegranate peels, pomegranate tea and other natural products that make use of different parts of the fruit.
He stressed that the festival enjoys the trust of the public and the local community and serves as an important platform for supporting farmers and productive families and marketing their products. The association organises the event as part of its responsibility to support the agricultural sector and local producers while strengthening the presence of rural products in the marketplace.
Abu Ghazal emphasised that the products on display are natural, high-quality and free from added substances, reinforcing consumer confidence and supporting the association’s efforts to promote local production and market natural products.
