Jordan Design and Development Bureau spokesperson Moataz Al-Atain said on Wednesday that the bureau had launched 18 artificial intelligence-based products and solutions focused on operational aspects of the armed forces, including the “Moeen” and “Aoun” applications.

Speaking to Al-Mamlaka, he said the Moeen application is used to analyze the operational environment and develop war and operational plans. It relies on collecting data from various sources and applying international best practices in military operational planning, helping support decision-making while leaving the final decision to the commander.
He added that the Aoun application relies on a national source of information, noting that the new products and solutions were developed and designed by Jordanian personnel.
Regarding support for student projects, Al-Atain explained that the bureau works to strengthen scientific and applied research through agreements with universities and research and development centers. It also presents its research needs to students, inviting them to submit innovative projects that meet the needs of the bureau and its companies, while supporting ideas to turn them into practical applications that can be further developed and commercially marketed.
He noted that the bureau provides an innovation platform through which innovators, researchers and idea holders can submit projects for support and development, with the aim of advancing them to commercial production.
He stressed that connecting academic institutions with industry is a key pillar of the defense industries, as it helps identify research needs and develop research outputs that can be transformed into practical industrial applications, supporting innovation and product development.
