The Ministry of Water and Irrigation on Tuesday uncovered 18 violations involving water sources in the Southern Shouneh and Kafrein areas, which were illegally supplying farms, a commercial complex, large pools, homes and chalets with water.

The ministry, represented by the Water Authority and its Internal Control Unit, carried out the field campaign in cooperation with Jordan Water Company “Miyahuna,” Balqa Water Directorate, and the Public Security Directorate through the West Balqa Police Directorate.
The campaign resulted in disconnecting the illegal connections, rectifying the violations and documenting the necessary official records.
The ministry and the Water Authority stressed that they will continue their efforts to protect citizens’ water rights in accordance with the law. They also praised citizens’ cooperation and the support provided by the Ministry of Interior, the Public Security Directorate and the Judicial Council for campaigns aimed at protecting water resources.
