The Royal Jordanian Air Force carried out an operation dubbed “Jordanian Deterrence – Hamoud” today, targeting hideouts belonging to terrorist organizations in southern Syria.
The operation was carried out in retaliation for the martyrs who lost their lives in the Hamoud Church attack in Karak last Friday. The terrorists who carried out the criminal act are linked to these terrorist organizations.
Royal Jordanian Air Force fighter jets destroyed a number of terrorist sites. The operation resulted in the killing and wounding of numerous members of the terrorist organizations and the destruction of several of their vehicles.
The Jordan Armed Forces reaffirmed that it will stand firmly against anyone seeking to threaten the security of citizens. It stressed its determination to continue eradicating the roots of extremism and terrorism and to fulfill its sacred duty to protect the homeland and its citizens and safeguard its sanctities.
May God have mercy on the martyrs of Karak and preserve Jordan strong and secure.
