Public Security Director Major General Dr. Obaidallah Maaytah said on Monday that the terrorists responsible for the Karak terrorist attack had been positioned behind the funeral procession and that the attack had not been planned in advance.

Speaking at a joint press conference with the ministers of interior and government communication, Maaytah revealed the identities of the perpetrators following their arrest early Monday morning.
He explained that the three suspects are members of the same family, two of whom are brothers, while the third is their relative by marriage.
Maaytah identified the suspects as Hazza Zaidan Mohammad, whom he described as the mastermind behind the attack; his brother, Mishal Zaidan Mohammad; and Ahmad Sami Hussein.
He stated that all three were extremists who embraced takfiri ideology and were responsible for carrying out the terrorist attack.
