Minister of Government Communication and Government Spokesperson Mohammad Momani said that combating terrorism requires confronting the extremist ideology that fuels it.

His remarks came during a joint press conference held at the Ministry of Interior, attended by the ministers of Government Communication and Interior, along with the Public Security Director, to discuss details of the arrest of those responsible for the terrorist attack in Karak Governorate.
Momani described the events in Karak as a turning point in efforts to eradicate extremist ideology.
He warned against engaging in discussions that fuel hate speech or promote division and discord among Jordanians.
Momani stressed that a crime committed by individuals embracing extremist takfiri ideology must not become an occasion for trading accusations or making sweeping generalizations about any segment of Jordanian society.
"We must not allow terrorism to achieve through words what it failed to accomplish through violence," he said.
