Government Communications Minister and government spokesperson Mohammad Al-Momani said Sunday that those responsible for the terrorist attack targeting a church in the village of Hamoud in Karak Governorate “will not escape punishment,” stressing that protecting the lives, security and dignity of Jordanians is a national responsibility that allows no room for complacency.

In a post on X, Al-Momani said Jordanians were bidding farewell to their martyrs to their final resting place in Hamoud village, describing the loss as a tragedy that has deeply saddened Jordanians across the country.
He said the funeral scenes reflected the unity and cohesion of Jordanians, stressing that national unity remains firmly rooted and resilient in the face of terrorism, discord and extremism.
Al-Momani extended his condolences to the families and loved ones of the martyrs, as well as to King Abdullah II, Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, the people of Karak and the Jordanian people as a whole. He also prayed for mercy for the martyrs and a speedy recovery for those injured.
