The initiative aims to promote recycling and source separation of recyclable materials by deploying smart machines to collect used containers and encouraging community participation through a digital platform offering rewards, incentives, and discounts on purchases based on points earned each time the machines are used.
Amman Vision CEO Amjad Al-Anaswa said the initiative contributes to achieving national environmental goals by strengthening the waste management system, reducing indiscriminate dumping, promoting recycling and source separation, supporting the circular economy, and raising environmental awareness.
Al-Anaswa added that Amman Vision for Treatment and Recycling plans to install 200 machines over the next two years. The initiative began with 15 machines that have already been installed and put into operation at several shopping centers and malls, universities, Bus Rapid Transit stations, and Marka Airport.
He described the project as a strategic public-private partnership, praising the key role played by partners in developing well-planned strategies to move toward waste recovery and recycling projects and reduce the volume of waste transported to designated landfills.
Al-Anaswa also said the company is seeking to expand its network of recycling machines across different parts of the Kingdom by inviting private-sector companies to establish strategic partnerships in support of their corporate social responsibility and environmental protection initiatives.
Such partnerships, he said, provide private-sector companies with opportunities to strengthen their corporate presence and associate their brands with sustainable environmental initiatives that deliver tangible impact, creating shared added value for both partners and the community.
