The Meteorological Department warned of reduced horizontal visibility due to dust and sand being stirred up in parts of the central regions, including Amman, urging caution and vigilance, particularly among motorists using external roads in the coming hours.
The department’s latest weather radar updates showed moderate to heavy rain showers in scattered areas across the Kingdom, at times accompanied by lightning and thunder.
According to the Meteorological Department, temperatures will drop slightly on Tuesday, while generally moderate weather will continue with clouds appearing at various altitudes. Scattered and intermittent rain showers are also possible.
By midday, the impact of the atmospheric instability is expected to increase, bringing partly cloudy to cloudy conditions and showers in scattered areas across the Kingdom, including Aqaba and the Dead Sea. The showers may occasionally be accompanied by lightning, thunder and hail.
The department forecast that rainfall could become heavy at times during the evening and night in some areas, potentially leading to flash floods in valleys and low-lying areas, including Aqaba and the Dead Sea.
Winds will be moderate and westerly, occasionally picking up and stirring up dust before rainfall, reducing horizontal visibility, particularly in the Badia areas.
