Amman Design Week 2026 concluded today after 16 days of exhibitions, workshops, discussions, tours and performances.

The fourth edition, held under the theme “Accretions,” featured more than 220 designers, makers and creative groups. Their work and programmes were spread across Ras Al Ain, Jabal Al-Luweibdeh, Jabal Amman and Iraq Al-Amir, and, for the first time, Aqaba, through 204 free events open to the public.اضافة اعلان

The week’s exhibitions across various venues welcomed more than 65,000 visitors, from the main exhibition at The Hangar in Ras Al Ain to the student exhibition and other displays at Dar Abu Adnan in Jabal Al-Luweibdeh.

Exhibitions also extended to Al-Abd Palace and Naqsh Collective in Iraq Al-Amir, and reached Aqaba for the first time. Participating spaces in Jabal Amman also opened their doors to visitors through exhibitions, workshops and open days.

More than 5,300 people took part in programmes that included workshops, guided tours, salon sessions and discussions aimed at creating broader opportunities to explore design and its relationship with everyday life and the city.

The programme began on October 2 with a discussion between curators Faisal Tabbarah and Khaled Al-Bashir on the theme “Accretions.” Discussions continued throughout the week, addressing questions such as “Who makes the city?” and “How did we shape wheat?”

Guided tours took visitors along different routes in and beyond the city, ranging from street art and architecture tours to a walking route with the Jordan Trail and full-day visits to Iraq Al-Amir. The performances, developed in collaboration with Al-Balad Theatre, ranged from the opening performance by Hasfrah on October 3 to the closing-night performance, “Summaq.”

Amman Design Week also welcomed [xx international visitors] as part of its efforts to strengthen Amman’s presence as a regional destination for design and culture. Four permanent works will remain in the city after the week concludes, continuing to engage the public in shared spaces.

“‘Accretions’ was the theme of this edition, but it has also become a description of what it leaves behind. None of these works was created in isolation, and their impact does not end with the week. The designers, the skills participants gained through workshops, the shared cultural memory, the venues and the four works that will remain in the city all extend what began here,” said Sarah Hijazin, co-director of Amman Design Week.

Amman Design Week 2026 was organised in strategic partnership with the Greater Amman Municipality.

The event was made possible through the contributions of designers, makers, partners and participants, as well as its sponsors: the Jordan Tourism Board, Al Ameed Coffee, Wujood, Grand Hyatt Amman, Royal Jordanian, Zain, Bank al Etihad, the Ghiyath and Nadia Sukhtian Foundation, and Aramex.

The work continues beyond the week, with Amman Design Week running programmes throughout the year. Updates and announcements will be published on its official website.
