Greater Madaba Municipality has named one of the city’s streets “Hamoud Church Martyrs” in remembrance of those killed in the terrorist attack in the village of Hamoud in Karak Governorate. Municipal Committee Chairman Haitham Juwainat said on Monday that the name carries a national and humanitarian message that extends beyond geographical boundaries. It underscores that the memory of the martyrs will remain alive in the hearts of Jordanians, and that honouring them means safeguarding national unity, strengthening the values of tolerance and reinforcing bonds among the people of one nation.

He added that the initiative reflects solidarity with the people of Karak Governorate and support for the families of the martyrs and the injured. He stressed that Jordan will remain a model of national cohesion and brotherhood, and that targeting any part of its social fabric affects all Jordanians.
