The Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency service announced that a 35-year-old man had succumbed to his wounds in the Tzur Natan community, noting that two other individuals were seriously injured, and three others sustained moderate injuries and were evacuated to the hospital.

For its part, the police stated that they had deployed massive forces to a gas station in the Kochav Yair community, which borders the occupied West Bank, following reports of a shooting.

The police explained that their forces, while conducting sweeping operations, "located the vehicle suspected of being used in the attack and neutralized the suspect responsible for it."

Later on, the police confirmed that the attacker was killed, stating that "search operations are still ongoing," indicating the possibility of more than one assailant.

Meanwhile, the Israeli military, whose forces deployed across the area, said it is continuing to search for "other potential attackers."

Commenting on the attack, the far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir said, "If the attacker is caught alive, he will be executed; this is the law, and we will demand its implementation," adding, "Anyone who kills a Jew will face the gallows."

He was referring to the death penalty law passed by the Knesset in March, which targets Palestinians convicted of carrying out fatal attacks against Israelis.
