Upon His Majesty's arrival at the venue, accompanied by the Red Motorcade, a 21-gun salute was fired in honor of His Majesty. He then reviewed the guard of honor lining up to greet him, as the national anthem was played.

His Majesty delivered a speech during the ceremony, the full text of which follows:

"In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful,

My dear family and kin,
Peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you.

I greet you from a land that has never failed its people... I greet you on this anniversary of an independence that lives within us, which we safeguard as a sacred trust, a pledge, and a covenant.

For eighty years, our reliance has been placed on a noble, formidable people, steadfast in their principles. At every step of this journey, our homeland has been our beacon and our sanctuary.

Sons and daughters of my beloved country,
Jordan was never a footnote in human history, but rather a cradle of nations and a land of harmony. On the banks of its river, Jesus Christ was baptized, and within its lands lived the Companions of the Prophet and their followers.

Civilizations thrived on its soil, offering the world lessons in resilience and fortitude, teaching us how to strive and how to transform hardships into opportunities.

The present stands as the best witness to this. Despite all circumstances, Jordan has protected its borders and security, sustained its democratic path, and shielded its economy from the impacts of crises.

For this homeland is of great stature, generous in giving, and Arab in its soul. Its tongue readily answers with "Absher" (at your service)—a response that precedes the request—confident that the broad shoulders of its sons will never falter.

My loyal people,
Today, we do not merely celebrate what we have achieved, but also what we possess in status and capability. Pride is not our ultimate goal; rather, it is reinforcing our confidence in this nation.

Our homeland, which has stood resilient through the decades, moves forward with confident strides, courageous and unhesitating. Jordan knows itself, knows its destination, and knows its choices. It has been refined by challenges, only to grow more resilient and steadfast.

My sons and daughters,
I realize that confidence does not mean denying or ignoring difficulties, but rather facing them with awareness and responsibility. It is the certainty that the road, no matter how long or arduous, will not stop us from working, and that at every stage, we are capable of overcoming anything.

It is the faith that what is born from the womb of this authentic land can never be defeated or broken.

With this spirit, and with this certainty, we move forward together, relying on God, towards our ninth decade of independence. We proceed with greater faith in ourselves and a greater capacity to forge a future worthy of Jordan and its people.

And to my Jordanian family, I say: between us lies a covenant kept in our hearts, known to God beyond any words.

Peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you."

The ceremony was also attended by His Royal Highness Prince Hashem bin Abdullah II, Her Royal Highness Princess Salma bin Abdullah II, Her Royal Highness Princess Rajwa Al Hussein, a number of Their Royal Highnesses the Princes and Princesses, members of the Hashemite family, and several heads of authorities.

Additionally, it was attended by senior civil and military officials, members of the diplomatic corps accredited to the Kingdom, as well as representatives of popular sectors, political parties, associations, syndicates, and civil society organizations.
