The Minister of Government Communication and official government spokesperson, Mohammad Al-Momani, stated that air raid sirens were activated by the Public Security Directorate following a breach of the Kingdom's airspace by missiles fired from Iran, which were countered and dealt with.اضافة اعلان

Al-Momani confirmed via his account on the "X" platform that the valiant Jordanian Armed Forces are on high alert to handle any threat facing the Kingdom, dedicating all efforts to safeguard national security and citizen safety.

He pointed out that relevant authorities will provide citizens and residents with the necessary instructions and information, urging compliance and advising against the dissemination of misinformation.

Meanwhile, an official military source at the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army stated that Jordanian air defense systems intercepted and shot down 8 missiles fired from Iran toward Jordanian territory on Thursday.

The source explained that the interceptions resulted in the fall of a number of fragments, without causing any human casualties or material damage.

The source emphasized that the Jordanian Armed Forces are closely monitoring current regional developments and updates, operating at the highest levels of readiness to protect the Kingdom's airspace and defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity, and will not allow any violation of Jordanian airspace by any party whatsoever.
