Army Thwarts Drug Smuggling Attempt via Drone

The Southern Military Region on Saturday thwarted an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of narcotics via a drone along one of its border fronts within its area of responsibility.اضافة اعلان

The drone was detected by Border Guard units and dealt with according to established rules of engagement. It was shot down inside Jordanian territory, and its cargo of narcotics was seized in coordination with competent military and security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department. The seized items were referred to the relevant authorities for necessary legal action.

The Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army emphasized that the Border Guard forces continue to perform their duties with efficiency and capability, operating at the highest levels of readiness to prevent various infiltration and smuggling attempts and to respond firmly to anyone attempting to undermine the Kingdom's security, stability, and citizen safety.
