Subheadline: Armed Forces: Any Attempt to Violate Jordan’s Sovereignty or Airspace Will Be Met with Firm Response
The Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army announced on Monday that its air defense systems intercepted and shot down four missiles that entered Jordanian airspace from Iranian territory in the early hours of the morning.
A military source at the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces said the interception operation was carried out with high efficiency as part of operational measures aimed at safeguarding the Kingdom’s sovereignty, security, and the safety of its citizens.
The source confirmed that the operation resulted in no casualties or material damage.
He added that Royal Engineering Corps teams dealt with missile fragments that fell in several locations in accordance with approved technical and security procedures, taking all necessary measures to secure the sites and protect both citizens and property.
The source stressed that the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army remain at the highest level of readiness and preparedness, continuously monitoring developments and standing ready to respond to any threat targeting the Kingdom’s security or airspace.
He further emphasized that any attempt to undermine Jordan’s sovereignty or violate its airspace will be met with a firm response, in accordance with the approved rules of engagement and the requirements of the national interest, adding that the armed forces will take all necessary measures to protect the homeland and safeguard its security and stability.
