Official Holiday on June 16 to Mark Islamic New Year (Hijri New Year)

Prime Minister Jafar Hassan issued an official circular on Sunday, declaring an official holiday for all ministries, government departments, public institutions and bodies, state universities, municipalities, joint services councils, the Greater Amman Municipality, and fully government-owned companies on Tuesday, June 16, corresponding to the first of Muharram, 1448 AH, to mark the occasion of the Islamic New Year (Hijri New Year).اضافة اعلان

The circular exempted ministries, government departments, and institutions whose nature of work requires otherwise.

Commemorating this blessed occasion, the Prime Minister called on all ministries, government departments, and public institutions to help highlight the significance of the event in a manner that reflects its reverence.
