On Sunday, Prime Minister Jafar Hassan directed that Al-Rawdah Industrial Zone, which is affiliated with the Ma'an Development Zone, be granted the same incentives and privileges awarded to the Al-Hussein bin Abdullah II Industrial Estate in Karak Governorate, specifically regarding electricity prices, land rates, and employment support. This measure will remain in place until the zone is supplied with natural gas via the Arab Gas Pipeline, in an effort to accelerate investments there.

During his visit to the Ma'an Development Zone, the Prime Minister emphasized the need to speed up the completion of the master plan, as well as the technical and economic studies, for the Aqaba-Ma'an Dry Port project before the end of this year.
According to preliminary plans, the Aqaba-Ma'an Dry Port project will be established on an expandable area of 4,000 dunams. It will be implemented in phases to integrate with the Ma'an Development Zone as the nucleus of a new logistical, customs, and industrial zone. The project will connect to the Aqaba Railway project—the foundation stone of which will be laid following financial closure in early 2027 as a 50-50 Jordanian-Emirati investment valued at $2.3 billion—via a 42 km link extending from the Al-Shidiya route to the dry port.
Hassan stressed the importance of coordination among all relevant ministries, the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA), and the Ma'an Development Zone to complete the project and achieve its developmental and economic objectives for the Aqaba and Ma'an governorates, as well as all governorates across the Kingdom.
The Prime Minister also visited the Arab Falcons Electronics Company and the Robina Fertilizer Manufacturing Company within the Ma'an Development Zone.
The Arab Falcons Electronics Company is built on an area of 12 dunams, provides 70 job opportunities, and operates four production lines for manufacturing household appliances. The value of its exports reached 2.7 million Jordanian Dinars last year, exporting its products to several Arab countries in addition to the Republic of Türkiye.
As for the Robina Fertilizer Manufacturing Company, its exports reached 7 million Jordanian Dinars last year, accounting for 90% of its total production. The company includes a specialized quality lab, has an annual production capacity of 15,000 tons, and exports its products to Arab and African countries, as well as Albania, China, and India. It is one of the companies that benefited from government support through the Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO) and the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Supply.
Furthermore, Hassan directed the provision of necessary facilities to restart the Sanam Glass Manufacturing Company in the Ma'an Qasabah District, following government efforts to resolve the obstacles that the company faced over the past years. The factory is expected to provide 200 jobs once it becomes operational.
