The Jordanian government confirmed on Sunday that the competent authorities have not issued any evacuation orders for Aqaba's airport or seaport.

Government Spokesperson and Minister of Government Communication, Dr. Mohammad Al-Momani, stated that the airport and seaport are operating normally. He noted that any potential risks are warned against by the competent Jordanian authorities in accordance with pre-arranged procedures, which include immediately sounding sirens if necessary.
He added that no potential threats have been logged by the relevant Jordanian authorities over the past few hours.
For his part, the Director General of the Aqaba Company for Ports Operation and Management, Mahmoud Khleifat, stated on Sunday that "there has been no suspension of any handling operations at the port." He explained that work at the seaport is proceeding normally, and there has been no evacuation or work stoppage.
Similarly, the director of King Hussein International Airport confirmed that commercial flight operations for arriving and departing passengers are proceeding with strict regularity and according to the pre-scheduled flight timetables without any modifications.
The Governor of Aqaba, Ayman Al-Awaisheh, also confirmed that all operational activities at the Aqaba ports are proceeding at a completely normal and regular pace. Al-Awaisheh pointed out that five vessels are currently docked at the piers, continuing their cargo handling operations as usual without any disruptions.
Earlier on Sunday, the US Embassy in Amman had issued a security alert to its citizens in Jordan, claiming that Jordanian authorities had evacuated Aqaba International Airport and its seaport due to a "specific and credible threat." The embassy had urged US citizens to avoid traveling to Aqaba International Airport or the seaport and to continue following all security directives issued by Jordanian authorities.
