“Days ago, the treacherous hand of terrorism sought to test the resilience of our state and the determination of our people. But we will stand firmly against it and will not allow the outcast terrorists to threaten the security and unity of this country,” the King said.

“These people are not one of us. They have turned away from our great Jordanian family and betrayed this family. Therefore, they have no place among us, neither today nor tomorrow,” he added.

The King made the remarks while opening the third ordinary session of the 20th Parliament. He called on lawmakers to observe a minute of silence in honor of those who were martyred in Karak.

“The blood of the Karak martyrs is a solemn responsibility we carry,” King Abdullah said.

In his Speech from the Throne, the King said: “Jordan has been and will remain resilient against every brutal aggressor, and formidable in the face of anyone who disregards the history of this country.”

He added: “This blessed land is protected by brave soldiers whose vigilance never falters, allowing their families to sleep safely. They are the sons of our Arab Army and security services, who placed their lives in their hands and vowed to keep Jordan’s shield strong and its flag raised high and proud.”

“Jordan’s strength lies in a people who, when faced with hardship, become more united, more aware and wiser,” he said.

The King continued: “My confidence remains in the Jordanian citizen — in his awareness when paths become unclear, in his wisdom when emotions run high, and in his loyalty and devotion when hardships intensify.”

He affirmed: “We remain steadfast in our position, committed to our Arab identity and to defending the causes of our nation — as my father did before me and my son will after me — so that a united Arab voice, however distant it may seem, remains our aspiration and goal.”

The King also stressed: “We reiterate that there can be no security or stability in our region without fulfilling the Palestinian people’s right to their land.”

“Despite international calls to halt Israeli violations, the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza continues, as do repeated attacks in the West Bank and Jerusalem. Israel’s expansionist ambitions remain the greatest threat to the future and hopes of the region,” he said.

“But peoples will not forget. Anyone who believes that tyranny grants legitimacy is mistaken. Anyone who believes that time erases the truth is mistaken. And anyone who believes that Jordanians will retreat from their principles is also mistaken,” the King said.
