Jordan’s Anti-Narcotics Department handled 84 cases involving crystal methamphetamine during the 14th week of its intensified campaign against the drug, including 22 cases involving trafficking and promotion, and 62 cases involving drug use, across various governorates of the Kingdom.

The Public Security Directorate’s media spokesperson said Tuesday that the cases resulted in the arrest of 133 people, including 33 suspects in trafficking and promotion cases and 100 in cases involving possession and use.
He added that quantities of crystal methamphetamine were seized from those arrested.
The spokesperson stressed that the campaign will continue firmly and without leniency until its objectives are achieved, including raising awareness of the dangers of the substance and pursuing anyone involved in dealing with it. He noted that crystal methamphetamine can cause users to die or drive them to commit crimes that threaten society and the safety of its members.
He called on everyone to fulfill their humanitarian and social responsibility by reporting any information concerning individuals involved with the substance, or any information related to it, through the unified emergency number 911. He emphasized that all reports will be handled with the utmost confidentiality and seriousness.
