The Ministry of Labor has renewed its call for non-Jordanian workers who entered the Kingdom without the intention of working and who have never previously obtained work permits to quickly benefit from a Cabinet decision aimed at legalizing and regularizing the status of workers in violation of labor regulations. The decision will remain in effect until December 1, 2026.اضافة اعلان

Ministry of Labor spokesperson Mohammad Al-Zyoud said the decision allows this category of workers to regularize their status and obtain official work permits by paying the full work permit fee, in addition to a flat payment of JD500 covering all previous years, regardless of their number.

Al-Zyoud described the measure as an exceptional opportunity for workers and employers across all sectors and economic activities, including domestic employment, to regularize the status of their workers at a reduced cost and avoid penalties resulting from violations.

He stressed that inspection teams will continue their field visits across all governorates. Any worker found without a valid work permit, or who has changed employers or professions, will be deported. Starting January 1, 2027, a deportation flag will be placed in the electronic systems against anyone who has failed to regularize their status, in addition to legal action against violating employers.

He affirmed that the ministry remains committed to regulating the labor market, protecting employment opportunities for Jordanians, and ensuring that non-Jordanian workers remain in the Kingdom legally.
