The Jordan Armed Forces announced that air defense systems intercepted and shot down 10 Iranian missiles early Saturday after they entered Jordanian airspace and were headed toward the Kingdom.
A military source at the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army said the missiles were intercepted in accordance with established operational procedures and defensive measures to safeguard Jordan’s sovereignty, protect its airspace, and ensure the safety of its citizens.
The source confirmed that the interception operation resulted in no casualties or property damage.
The Royal Engineering Corps has begun operations at the locations where missile debris fell, securing and handling the remnants in line with approved technical and security procedures.
The source added that the Jordan Armed Forces remain on high alert, continuously monitoring the Kingdom’s airspace and closely following developments while maintaining the highest level of operational readiness to respond to any threat in accordance with the established rules of engagement.
The military also urged citizens to rely on official sources for information and to refrain from spreading rumors or sharing unverified reports.
