Judicial Recess Ends as Courts Resume Operations

Jordanian lawyers returned to work on Tuesday following the end of the annual judicial recess, which was approved by the Jordan Bar Association in accordance with the law.اضافة اعلان

Jordan’s courts have completed preparations to receive litigants, visitors and lawyers and resume their work at full capacity.

Article 44 of the Judicial Independence Law and its amendments, No. 15 of 2001, stipulates that the annual judicial recess runs from July 1 through August 30 each year, during which judges are entitled to take their annual leave.

The Jordan Bar Association Council had decided to begin the judicial recess on the morning of Thursday, July 16, 2026, with the recess continuing until the end of business on Monday, August 31, 2026.
