The official spokesperson for the Jordan Armed Forces–Arab Army said that air defense systems intercepted eight missiles that entered the Kingdom’s airspace early Monday.
The spokesperson confirmed that the Jordanian Armed Forces responded to the attacks and successfully destroyed the missiles before they posed any threat to citizens or property.
He explained that the interceptions were carried out based on precise operational assessments and in line with the national responsibility to protect the Kingdom’s airspace and safeguard citizens, in accordance with the applicable rules of engagement.
The spokesperson added that the Jordanian Armed Forces, across all formations, continue to carry out their duties with the highest levels of readiness and professionalism and will take all necessary measures to protect the homeland, safeguard its sovereignty, and maintain its security and stability.
