Public Security urges early departure tomorrow to avoid traffic as new school year begins

The Public Security Directorate (PSD) called on citizens on Saturday to set out early on Sunday with the start of the new academic year, anticipating an increase in traffic density, particularly around schools and during morning peak hours.اضافة اعلان

In an awareness advisory, the Directorate asked citizens to plan their trips in advance to avoid delays, drive cautiously, adhere to speed limits and traffic laws, and pay close attention to students crossing in school zones.

Drivers were also urged to maintain a safe distance when following school buses—especially during student pick-up and drop-off—emphasizing that student safety remains a top priority.

Furthermore, the PSD warned parents against double parking in front of schools, as it obstructs traffic flow and puts students at risk, stressing the need to stick to designated parking spots.
