King Abdullah II on Tuesday reviewed the government’s progress under the second executive program of the Economic Modernization Vision during the first half of this year.

During a meeting with Prime Minister Jafar Hassan and relevant officials, the King was briefed on key achievements under the vision across several sectors, including healthcare, transport and logistics, education and industry.
The King called for attracting more investments and priority projects, particularly export-oriented investments and public-private partnership projects, stressing the importance of domestic and foreign investment as a cornerstone for achieving the vision’s targets.
He also highlighted the importance of maintaining communication with participants in the workshops held to review achievements made during the first phase of the Economic Modernization Vision and to identify recommendations and priorities for the second phase.
In the same context, King Abdullah stressed the need to maintain effective communication with citizens regarding the vision’s implementation plans, achievements and challenges.
He directed the government to focus its efforts and the vision’s projects on tangibly and sustainably improving the quality of life for citizens.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Economic Affairs Muhannad Shehadeh and Director of the Royal Office Alaa Batayneh.
