Jordan records 8,234 new COVID-19 cases

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 8,234 new COVID-19 cases and 21 new deaths on Monday, bringing the total death toll to 13,835 and the total number of cases to 1,631,708.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 3,504 cases, while Zarqa recorded 889 cases. Irbid registered 1,222 cases, Balqa 752 cases, Karak recorded 372 cases, Jerash recorded 235cases, and Tafileh recorded 176 cases. Madaba registered 235 cases, Aqaba 205, Ramtha 126, and Ajloun 155.

The ministry said in a statement that 142 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 98 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 82,095 according to the ministry. Out of 39,667 COVID-19 tests conducted Monday, 20.76 percent of them came back positive.
