Jordan records 20 new COVID-19 deaths, 15,864 new cases

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 15,864 new COVID-19 cases and 20 new deaths on Sunday, bringing the total death toll to 13,320 and the total number of cases to 1,330,107.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 6,049 cases, while Zarqa recorded 2,150 cases. Irbid registered 2,202 cases, Balqa 1,145 cases, Karak recorded 1,162 cases, Jerash recorded 708 cases, and Tafileh recorded 239 cases. Madaba registered 355 cases, Aqaba 672, Ramtha 148, and Ajloun 306.

The ministry said in a statement that 148 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 219 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 137,078 according to the ministry. Out of 58,025 COVID-19 tests conducted Sunday, 27.34 percent of them came back positive.
