Jordan records 12,826 new COVID-19 cases

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 12,826 new COVID-19 cases and 22 new deaths on Wednesday, bringing the total death toll to 13,124 and the total number of cases to 1,177,165.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 6,783 cases, while Zarqa recorded 1,529 cases. Irbid registered 1,346 cases, Balqa 820 cases, Karak recorded 394 cases, Jerash recorded 302 cases, and Tafileh recorded 61 cases. Madaba registered 418 cases, Aqaba 230, Ramtha 182, and Ajloun 321.

The ministry said in a statement that 149 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 187 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 66,865 according to the ministry. Out of 56,913 COVID-19 tests conducted Wednesday, 22.54 percent of them came back positive.
