Positivity rate stands at 5.25 percent

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 1,682 new COVID-19 cases and 32 new deaths on Monday, bringing the total death toll to 12,742 and the total number of cases to 1,067,253.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 930 cases, while Zarqa recorded 124 cases. Irbid registered 170 cases, Balqa 118 cases, Karak recorded 36 cases, Jerash recorded 64 cases, and Tafileh recorded 7 cases. Madaba registered 65 cases, Aqaba 39, Ramtha 1, and Ajloun 42.

The ministry said in a statement that 99 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 96 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 27,010 according to the ministry. Out of 32,062 COVID-19 tests conducted Sunday, 5.25 percent of them came back positive.
