Jordan records 2,024 new COVID-19 cases

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 2,024 new COVID-19 cases and 31 new deaths on Monday, bringing the total death toll to 12,518 and the total number of cases to 1,054,892. اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 824 cases, while Zarqa recorded 121 cases. Irbid registered 345 cases, Balqa 168 cases, Karak recorded 81 cases, Jerash recorded 75 cases, and Tafileh recorded 10 cases. Madaba registered 72 cases, Aqaba 73, Ramtha 22, and Ajloun 86.

The ministry said in a statement that 149 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 128 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 39,603 according to the ministry. Out of 35,619 COVID-19 tests conducted Monday, 5.68 percent of them came back positive.
