Jordan records 1,164 new COVID-19 cases

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 1,164 new COVID-19 cases and 41 new deaths on Saturday, bringing the total death toll to 12,444 and the total number of cases to 1,051,421.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 542 cases, while Zarqa recorded 133cases. Irbid registered 182 cases, Balqa 114 cases, Karak recorded 14 cases, Jerash recorded 35 cases, and Tafileh recorded 6 cases. Madaba registered 17 cases, Aqaba 8, Ramtha 1, and Ajloun 68.

The ministry said in a statement that 88 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 108 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 45,285 according to the ministry. Out of 25,050 COVID-19 tests conducted Saturday, 4.65 percent of them came back positive.
