AMMAN — Jordan recorded 3,023 new COVID-19 cases and 32 new
deaths on Tuesday, bringing the total death toll to 12,300 and the total number
of cases to 1,043,266.
The Ministry of Health said
that Amman recorded 1,045 cases, while Zarqa recorded 299 cases. Irbid
registered 621 cases, Balqa 317 cases, Karak recorded 119 cases, Jerash
recorded 128 cases, and Tafileh recorded 13 cases. Madaba registered 110 cases,
Aqaba 52, Ramtha 68, and Ajloun 82.
The ministry said in a statement that 147
hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were
discharged from hospitals, while 163 new patients were admitted.
The number of active COVID-19 cases in the
Kingdom stands at around 55,107 according to the ministry. Out of 42,612
COVID-19 tests conducted Tuesday, 7.09 percent of them came back positive.
