Jordan records 1,920 new COVID-19 cases

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 1,920 new COVID-19 cases and 40 new deaths on Saturday, bringing the total death toll to 12,191 and the total number of cases to 1,033,469.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 485 cases, while Zarqa recorded 240 cases. Irbid registered 546 cases, Balqa 258 cases, Karak recorded 38 cases, Jerash recorded 92 cases, and Tafileh recorded 26 cases. Madaba registered 71 cases, Aqaba 7, Ramtha 61, and Ajloun 29.

The ministry said in a statement that 107 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 157 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 62,068 according to the ministry. Out of 32,484 COVID-19 tests conducted Saturday, 5.91 percent of them came back positive.
