2,708 COVID-19 cases recorded Saturday, 24 new deaths

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 2,708 new COVID-19 cases and 24 new deaths on Saturday, bringing the total death toll to 11,941 and the total number of cases to 1,006,136.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 898 cases, while Zarqa recorded 315 cases. Irbid registered 684 cases, Balqa 249 cases, Karak recorded 48 cases, Jerash recorded 31 cases, and Tafileh recorded 13 cases. Madaba registered 109 cases, Aqaba 30, Ramtha 37, and Ajloun 171.

The ministry said in a statement that 119 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 207 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 66,843 according to the ministry. Out of 28,728 COVID-19 tests conducted Saturday 9.43 percent of them came back positive.
