Jordan records 33 new COVID-19 deaths, 3,705 new cases

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 3,705 new COVID-19 cases and 33 new deaths on Friday, bringing the total death toll to 12,151 and the total number of cases to 1,031,549.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 1,534 cases, while Zarqa recorded 454 cases. Irbid registered 707 cases, Balqa 207 cases, Karak recorded 56 cases, Jerash recorded 164 cases, and Tafileh recorded 5 cases. Madaba registered 146 cases, Aqaba 57, Ramtha 73, and Ajloun 92.

The ministry said in a statement that 185 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 171 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 63,124 according to the ministry. Out of 51,723 COVID-19 tests conducted Friday, 7.16 percent of them came back positive.
