Jordan records 3,812 new COVID-19 cases

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 3,812 new COVID-19 cases and 40 new deaths on Thursday, bringing the total death toll to 12,118 and the total number of cases to 1,027,844.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 1,502 cases, while Zarqa recorded 471 cases. Irbid registered 738 cases, Balqa 361 cases, Karak recorded 105 cases, Jerash recorded 86 cases, and Tafileh recorded 23 cases. Madaba registered 115 cases, Aqaba 82, Ramtha 75, and Ajloun 99.

The ministry said in a statement that 158 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 205 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 64,189 according to the ministry. Out of 51,883 COVID-19 tests conducted Thursday, 7.35 percent of them came back positive.
