Jordan COVID-19 positivity rate stands at 9.14 %

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 4,665 new COVID-19 cases and 28 new deaths on Thursday, bringing the total death toll to 11,661 and the total number of cases to 963,655.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 1,246 cases, while Zarqa recorded 597 cases. Irbid registered 1,232 cases, Balqa 424 cases, Karak recorded 137 cases, Jerash recorded 218 cases, and Tafileh recorded 62 cases. Madaba registered 132 cases, Aqaba 79, Ramtha 208, and Ajloun 103.

The ministry said in a statement that 136 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 202 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 57,917 according to the ministry. Out of 51,029 COVID-19 tests conducted Thursday 9.84 percent of them came back positive.
