Jordan records 21 new COVID-19 deaths, 3,677 new cases

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 3,677 new COVID-19 cases and 21 new deaths on Friday, bringing the total death toll to 11,331 and the total number of cases to 909,415.اضافة اعلان


The Ministry of Health said that Amman alone recorded 1,653 cases, while Zarqa recorded 367 cases. Irbid registered 699 cases, Balqa 213 cases, Karak recorded 106 cases, Jerash recorded 109 cases, and Tafileh recorded 26 cases. Madaba registered 96 cases, Aqaba 69, Ramtha 66, and Ajloun 91.

The ministry said in a statement that 110 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 151 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 36,830 according to the ministry. Out of 43,731 COVID-19 tests conducted Friday, 8.41 percent of them came back positive.
