AMMAN — Jordan recorded 1,892 new COVID-19 cases and 17 new deaths Thursday, bringing the total death toll to 11,000 and the total
number of cases to 858,342.
The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 722 cases,
while Zarqa recorded 152 cases. Irbid registered 436 cases, Balqa 96 cases,
Karak recorded 54, Jerash recorded 36 cases, and Tafileh recorded 19. Madaba
registered 60 cases, Aqaba 70, and Ajloun 81.
The ministry said in a statement that around 84 hospitalized
COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 87
new patients were admitted.
The number of active COVID-19cases in the Kingdom stands at
around 19,819 according to the ministry. Around 4.83 percent of the 39,174
COVID-19 tests conducted Thursday came back positive.
