12 new deaths and 1,021 new cases

AMMAN  — Jordan recorded 1,021 new COVID-19 cases and 12 new deaths Friday, bringing the total death toll to 10,859 and the total cases to 839,544.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 406 cases, while Zarqa recorded 132 cases. Irbid registered 177 cases, Balqa 66 cases, Karak recorded 17, Jerash recorded 17 cases, and Tafileh recorded 15. Madaba registered 19 cases, Aqaba 40, and Ajloun 57.

The ministry added in a statement that around 76 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 82 were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 14,847 according to the ministry. Around 3.68 percent of the 27,715 COVID-19 tests conducted today came back positive.
