Ajloun Tourism Director Firas Al-Khatatbeh said tourism trails are helping diversify the governorate’s tourism offerings by introducing visitors to new destinations that combine natural landscapes with historical heritage and offer experiences beyond the area’s well-known attractions.
Al-Khatatbeh said the directorate supports efforts and initiatives aimed at highlighting Ajloun’s tourism potential, stressing the importance of cooperation with tour guides and the local community to promote sites of natural and cultural value and encourage domestic tourism.
Arab Farihat, a member of the “Our Tourism Is Our Wealth” initiative, said documenting tourism sites and promoting them through the media is an important step in showcasing Ajloun’s attractions. He noted that media content highlighting these locations can help introduce them to a wider range of visitors.
He added that cooperation between local initiatives and tourism enthusiasts helps collect information about natural and heritage sites and highlight their stories, strengthening their presence within tourism experiences and encouraging visitors to explore new areas across the governorate.
Ajloun has numerous natural and historical sites with significant tourism value, although some remain outside established tourism programs despite their scenic beauty and diversity.
Individual initiatives and local efforts led by tourism enthusiasts are working to promote these areas and incorporate them into tourism experiences and trails that allow visitors to explore their natural and historical features.
