Minister of Education and Human Resources Development Dr. Azmi Mahafzah met in his office Thursday with Algerian Ambassador to Jordan Mohammed Zerkaat to discuss bilateral relations and ways to strengthen educational and academic cooperation between the two countries.

During the meeting, Mahafzah emphasized the deep historical and fraternal ties between Jordan and Algeria, praising the strong level of academic and student exchange between universities in both countries and the role of academic expertise in enriching the educational process.
For his part, the Algerian ambassador expressed his appreciation for the advanced level of Jordan’s education and higher education sectors, stressing his country’s interest in activating memorandums of understanding, agreements, and joint committees, while expanding cooperation to include scientific and research exchange and academic visits.
The meeting also addressed a number of academic and educational issues of mutual interest, as well as student exchange programs and opportunities to strengthen educational cooperation between the two sides in the coming period.
