King Abdullah II received British National Security Adviser Jonathan Powell at Al Husseiniya Palace on Wednesday.
The King stressed the need to intensify international efforts to achieve a comprehensive regional de-escalation that safeguards the security of Arab countries and restores stability to the region.
He also called for an end to dangerous Israeli measures in the West Bank and Jerusalem, while highlighting the importance of supporting Lebanon and Syria in preserving their security, stability and sovereignty.
The meeting also addressed the depth of the Jordanian-British strategic partnership and ways to advance cooperation between the two countries.
