Prince Ali bin Al Hussein, President of the Jordan Football Association, followed the Jordan national team’s preparations ahead of its friendly against Venezuela at 8 p.m. next Tuesday at Amman’s King Abdullah II Stadium, as part of preparations for the 2027 AFC Asian Cup.

Prince Ali attended part of the training session held this morning at the Al-Nashama Training Center, led by head coach Badu Al-Zaki and attended by all players.
Meanwhile, medical tests conducted on national team goalkeeper Alec Samir revealed a partial tear in the medial collateral ligament (MCL) of his knee. He will leave the Jordan national team camp to undergo treatment and rehabilitation, in coordination between the national team’s medical staff and his club.
The draw for the 2027 AFC Asian Cup placed Jordan, runners-up in the previous edition, in Group B alongside Uzbekistan, Bahrain and North Korea.
The 2027 AFC Asian Cup will be held in Saudi Arabia from January 7 to February 5.
Jordan will open its campaign against Uzbekistan on Friday, January 8, at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah, before facing Bahrain on Wednesday, January 13, at the same venue. The team will conclude the group stage against North Korea on Sunday, January 17, at Imam Mohammad ibn Saud Islamic University Stadium in Riyadh.
