The Jordan national football team began its technical and physical training sessions in preparation for its upcoming friendly matches against Syria and Venezuela, as part of its preparations for the 2027 AFC Asian Cup finals.

The national team held its training session this morning at the Al-Nashama Preparation Center, led by head coach Badou Zaki, with 24 players from the squad taking part. The squad is expected to be complete on Wednesday.
The 28-player squad includes: Yazeed Abu Laila, Abdullah Al-Fakhouri, Alec Samir, Ahmad Jaidi, Yazan Al-Arab, Abdullah Naseeb, Mohammad Abu Al-Nadi, Saad Al-Rousan, Hadi Al-Hourani, Muhannad Abu Taha, Ihsan Haddad, Ahmad Assaf, Anas Badawi, Noor Al-Rawabdeh, Nizar Al-Rashdan, Ibrahim Saadeh, Yousef Qashi, Amer Jamous, Mahmoud Shawkat, Yousef Abu Jalboush, Mousa Al-Taamari, Mahmoud Mardi, Tamer Bani Awda, Ahmad Ersan, Ali Azaizeh, Odeh Al-Fakhouri, Mohammad Abu Zreiq, and Ali Alwan.
The Nashama are set to play their first friendly against Syria at 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 27, at King Abdullah II Stadium, before facing Venezuela at the same time on Tuesday, October 6, at the same venue.
The upcoming training camp is part of the national team’s preparation program for the 2027 AFC Asian Cup finals. The program includes a number of friendly matches during upcoming international breaks in Amman, giving Jordanian fans the opportunity to follow the team’s preparations and support it throughout its build-up.
The draw for the 2027 AFC Asian Cup finals placed Jordan, runners-up in the previous edition, in Group B, alongside Uzbekistan, Bahrain, and North Korea.
The 2027 AFC Asian Cup finals will be held in Saudi Arabia from January 7 to February 5, 2027.
Jordan will begin its tournament campaign against Uzbekistan on Friday, January 8, at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah. It will then face Bahrain on Wednesday, January 13, at the same stadium, before concluding its group-stage campaign against North Korea on Sunday, January 17, at Imam Mohammad ibn Saud University Stadium in Riyadh.
