The Ministry of Public Works and Housing announced the closure of the overpass in the Ain Al-Basha area on the Amman–Jerash road to carry out rehabilitation works on the area’s lighting network.

The closure will cover a section approximately 2.4 kilometers long, starting at midnight from Thursday into Friday, October 9, and continuing until midnight from Saturday into Sunday, October 10.
The ministry said the works are being carried out by the Balqa Public Works Directorate and include rehabilitating the lighting network from Ain Al-Basha Roundabout to the Security Center Roundabout.
The project is part of a number of contracts being implemented by the directorate to improve infrastructure efficiency and enhance the quality of services and road safety.
During the closure, traffic will be diverted to the adjacent service road until the works are completed. The ministry urged road users to follow traffic signs, instructions and designated diversion routes to ensure public safety and allow the works to proceed safely.
The Ministry of Public Works and Housing said it is committed to completing the works and restoring normal traffic flow as soon as possible, while thanking citizens and motorists for their cooperation and compliance with traffic regulations during the project.
